50th Post~Blog Give Away

It's my 50th post already! I want to celebrate with a small give away. The giveaway pack includes a Hobby Lobby clipboard with paper, a pack of shabby chic pens, 2 vintage rose pins with rhinestones in the white rose, a vintage card with cottage scene/florals, 2 brown vintage buttons on the orginal card and a necklace made by me. I recycled a necklace a friend gave me (small tan beads) and added a vintage bronze tag with the number 12. Leave a comment on my blog and I will enter your name in the drawing. I'm also leaving you with a picture of McKale. He's 4 1/2 months already. Grandma and Grandpa requested that I post a picture of him on my blog. He moves so fast that all my pictures of him are blurry. Maybe one of these days I'll get a good one!

A shabby lamp makeover

The person I rent my booth space from gave me a free lamp. He was going to throw it away so he gave it to me. I painted it out white and took the shade apart (it was really outdated). I cut strips from a vintage chenille bedspread cutter and tied them on the shade in the middle. It made for a really cute shade. What do you think of the outcome? I really love it and decided to keep it for myself. I purchased another lamp with a lady figure carrying a basket and did the same thing to her. I will post a picture of her next time (she is drying as we speak).

Some fun things I listed on eBay tonight

I just wanted to share some fun things I listed on eBay tonight. I have found some really cute vintage baby quilts and nursery items and thought it was time to get them listed. My user name on eBay is chippy*cottage*charm.
This is my 48th post, so watch for my 50th post as I will have a fun giveaway! I will also be starting a 2nd blog for those of you that want to check it out. It will be a religious blog with a devotional theme. I am so excited to get that started, but first I am praying about it! Keep your eyes open for that and I will announce when I get that started. My Altered Jar Project

I've been having some creative time and I have been making altered jars and bottles. It's been so much fun. It is my first try at putting images into jars...I think they turned out pretty good. My pictures didn't turn out that well. Sorry they aren't clear, but you get the idea.

The kittens for Enchanted Makeovers are done!

I have been working on stuffed kittens for Enchanted Makeovers and finished the last one tonight. I committed to making 20 of them for the non-profit organization. You may remember in a previous post that I told you about the organization that goes into different places and decorates the living quarters for women and children. I emailed the founder Terry Grahl and asked how I could get involved. This organization is based in Michigan. It's been a crazy summer (to say the least!)...and I am excited for school to start next week. I am hoping for my time and promise to quit neglecting my blog! Hope everyone has a great week!
