White Wednesday~Around the house

Another White Wednesday is here...I am so behind today. I have been sorting through tax stuff today and helping with homework projects. My house is so neglected...not to mention the laundry. I have church in an hour and haven't made supper. You're on your own tonight guys! LOL

My pretty bedroom and $5 find!

I cleaned up my bedroom to take pictures today to show you how it looks. (The rest of the house is a disaster! No pictures there!) I found an awesome thing for $5 last Wednesday at Goodwill! It is the best $5 I ever spent! It is a 1928 vanity and mirror. It was already painted white. It had plain white wallpaper on the drawers. I ripped it off and then applied some vintage floral wallpaper I already had. It turned out so great! I was going to sell it, but I've always wanted one...so I am getting rid of other small pieces that were in my room.
The weather stinks here! Rain, then freezing, then snow and blowing on top of it. I am so ready for spring...will it ever get here? I'm begging!

Some fun projects

I've been passing the time with a few projects. I don't have alot of vintage Valentine stuff...so I've been making some burlap hearts. I've made some and put some in the shop at Cliff Ave. Flea Market and will most likely put some at Recycled Elements this coming Saturday when I work. I also made a burlap journal last night. I think it turned out really cute. I've listed these two things on my Etsy store (side bar). I also added a mom and baby kitty combo and some vintage goodies too. White Wednesday

Happy White Wednesday everyone! It is surely white here today. It's been foggy lately, so are trees are covered with pure whiteness. On top of that it is sleeting and snowing. I'm also without my husband for 4 days, and I am missing him so much! I can't wait for him to come home! I miss having him around!

Valentine Swap

Last year I signed up for a Valentine swap. I see this year the lady is hosting it again, but the swap is full, so I am bummed. So I am thinking that if anyone is interested in swapping I will set up my own swap. Here are the rules.

1) Include one handmade valentine card/altered piece

2) One vintage thrifted/antique store item pertaining to the Valentine's holiday

3) A sweet treat

You may do more if you want for your partner. Sign up by the end of this week (Friday 22nd). I will email your partner information on Sunday the 24th. Send out your item by Friday Feb. 5th.

White Wednesday

So, I'm having quite the day. Dealing with whiny children, children who don't listen and I haven't even showered today and it's 4:30 in the afternoon. Yep, this is how my day is. Messy house...tired...tired...did I mention tired? I had 2 kids in bed with me last night, so my back is super messed up today. I need to cook supper soon and have youth group to help out with tonight. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. McKale is screaming in his crib and Hayden is being mean to the cat and making monster noises...very loudly! Ok, so I put McKale in his swing for a nap. Now I can finally post White Wednesday. I really mean to post more often, but with 5 kids, 2 locations where I sell stuff and everyday life I just can't seem to get more posts done. Not to mention my house is usually a disaster. Today I feel like running away. I spent yesterday sweeping and mopping floors. What for...they are messy again right along with the house. Yikes! Ok...enough complaining. I am thankful to have a house, to have kids I love, food on my table and a husband who loves me. Things can always be worse. Sometimes you just need to rant and then be thankful afterwards. Life can be crazy, but I try to center it in Christ. I'm working hard to make devotions and prayer a priority...some days I fail...and thank God I can start anew each day!

Another Tattoo...pink hair...McKale pics!

It's been crazy here! Hayden has been sick with broncitis and croup for about 2 weeks...he is finally getting well! I had company here the last few days...my sister, her friend and 2 yr old daughter. We had a snow storm and below freezing temperatures, so school was closed. 10 people shoved into this little house. I'm use to the craziness, but my poor sister and her friend were going nuts I'm sure.

I got yet another tattoo (getting closer to a sleeve). Today I got my hair cut. I colored it blonde and pink. I love it so much!!!! Am I too old for this? I love it...and it makes me feel good...so who cares what anyone thinks???!!!!
