Some pictures for my antique/shabby sale

I just wanted to share some pictures that I took today for my upcoming sale at my house. I cleaned the garage the best I could and set it up like a shop. I'm so excited for tomorrow...I wonder if I will sleep tonight. Wish me luck! Enjoy the pics...
PS...If you live in Sioux Falls my address for this sale is 3120 East Dudley Lane!

My upcoming sale

I've been really busy the past 2 weeks getting ready for my upcoming occasional sale at my house. We've been doing lots of sanding, priming and painting. Lots of trash to treasure projects have been keeping us busy too. I've been sorting through my stuff...pricing...etc, and have managed to sneak a few minutes away to search for new treasures. It's going to be a fun sale, and if you're in the area it's on Saturday 18th from 8 am to 3pm at 3120 East Dudley Lane in Sioux Falls, SD. I will try to get some pictures of my creations posted. It's our 13th anniversary tomorrow...and I'm alone all week to get this stuff done myself. I loved having Bryan home for 10 days on vacation to help and now it's back to me...alone. Pray I get it all done! LOL

Some past pictures of our house in Minnesota

I was looking through some older pictures and found some of our 100 year old house when we lived in Minnesota. I miss the charm of our former home. It was hard for me to have to move into a newer house (split level built in mid eighties). I have made it very cottagy, but for me it's just not the same. Some day when the kids are grown and out we will make the move back to an older home. Most older homes just don't have enough space, are hard to maintain, or so nice that they're not in our price range.
I hope you enjoy these pictures...I've gone in certain stages. I really use to like bright yellow and I've mellowed down a bit. It's fun to see how I have changed in taste of decor.
God Bless and everyone have a good week.

Happy 4th of July-Busy Bee Me!

Happy 4th everyone! I know I'm a little late in wishing that...sorry...been a busy girl! We decided at the last minute to go to Mankato, MN (we lived there 2 years ago) to visit our Pastor, wife and kids and see the fireworks. We drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and 2 1/2 hours back. We got there at 9 pm and left by 11 pm. We sat with our Pastor and family for an hour for the concert and fireworks. It was short, but it was something to do and it was worth the drive to see our very loved friends. We miss them so much...so I would drive 100 hours if I had to just to see them!
Today was Hayden's 7th birthday. We celebrated in the evening with cupcakes that had blue gelatin in them, cool whip on top and sprinkles. He got a T-ball set and Transformer toy. His cousin and grandma got to be there for his party.
I've been busy getting ready for an occasional sale that I will be holding at my home in July. I am cleaning the garage, doing projects and sorting everything out to get ready. For those of you who live in Sioux Falls I will be holding it at my house on Saturday July 18th from 8 am - 3 pm. My address is 3120 East Dudley Lane. I'm going to have a friend who also loves shabby chic and antiques bringing stuff too.
I wanted to share a picture of a 4th of July display I did with my friend who has Tesa's Cottage in Viborg, SD. Enjoy and have a great week!

My little Princess and Prince

I had a visit this past week from my sister Katt and niece Vaedah. They came from Indianapolis, Indiana where my sister goes to art school. She is studying fashion design and enjoying it very much. I got to watch Vaedah over the weekend and will get her back this weekend to watch her for another week. We have had fun shopping for dresses and painting fingernails/toenails a pretty pink color. I wanted to show a cute picture of her being a sleeping princess. She is such a pretty girl. I will post more pictures of her later.
McKale is growing so fast. He is so alert and loves to smile and coo. I am realizing that he looks alot like me.
Hayden turns 7 on the 5th of July. How time flies! Our family wishes you all a Happy and safe 4th of July!

Barb's Shabby Cottage Deck

I have this really awesome junkin' friend named Barb who likes the same kind of stuff I do. We always have a good time looking for treasures. Her apartment is so cute and her deck outside is to die for. It's a private little oasis for her that she enjoys so much. I also love going over there to enjoy it. I thought it was about time to share pictures of her little "haven".

Some Cute Dolls!

So, I still haven't been doing much lately. The house is always a disaster with the boys home. I'd love to take pictures and show stuff off, but with the mess it's not really working. We finally had a nice hot day today, so the kids could go out and swim. They've been off school for 4 weeks and it's been gloomy or rainy, or both. We were glad for the sunshine today.
I wanted to show a picture of some cute dolls I found this spring at the Goodwill. They were 50 cents each. I saw one similar at a antique store for $34! As if...I would never pay that! I love these little dolls...they are just adorable, and I put them each in a sugar container with roses on them. They were missing lids...so why not? And of course I included a new photo of the cutest doll of all...McKale!
