White Wednesday~So pretty!

I was thinking it was going to be hard to photograph today. My house is truly a mess. All the boys are home this week, so...I'm not in any rush to clean! I am working on recovering my dining room chairs. I've always covered them in fabric and then taken a clear shower curtain and covered them. That way the fabric doesn't get ruined and they're easy to wipe down. Well...this will be the 3rd time I've recovered them. They keep ripping the plastic and ruining the fabric. This time I found a pink vinyl shower curtain. It's got tiny white polka dots and pink roses. There is also some small blue flowers in it. I found this in new, unused condition at the thrift store for $3.59...and I am using it to recover the chairs. It's so cottagey cute...I have 2 more chairs to go. I will take some pictures after I'm done with them. The chairs need a good scrub too! Boys are soooooo messy! I can't believe how dirty they make everything!

I'm working this Friday at Recycled Elements, so if you're in the area of Sioux Falls-stop in.

I'm leaving you with some photos for White Wednesday around my house! Check out the sweet vintage baby shoes I found! I love them! Have a good week everyone!

Making Vintage Cuffs

We ended up getting 18 1/2 inches of snow this Christmas. No travel was advised and interstates were closed down. There was no getting anywhere. So I decided to work on some vintage cuffs to keep me entertained. I've been wanting to make some, so now was the right time.

Today Bryan went to snow blow out our driveway. It took him 2 1/2 hours...the snow is so high. I can't believe what a mess it has made. I'm so ready to get out of the house, but the roads are not that great...so inside I stay.

McKale got tons of fun toys for Christmas, but what is his favorite? Strings I already had...taped to the coffee table. It's been keeping him entertained this whole weekend. He also loves the shoebox dad's present came in and my water bottles. I should of just saved my money. Kids are so funny!

The kids got a Wii this year...and they are having so much fun with that. They all had a fun Christmas...and now we'll see if mom can make it with all the kids home for another week. Trapped in the house none the less with tons of snow! LOL

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

White Wednesday and Merry Christmas!

We will have a very, very white Christmas here. We could get up to 10-20 inches of snow! It's snowing right now...and we had freezing rain 2 days ago. I'm glad that we aren't having company, so everyone stays safe. Time to hunker down and just enjoy being at home!

I am leaving you with some more White Wednesday pictures from my home. Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and may you be blessed with vintage goodness!

White Wednesday & A Very Cute Smiley Baby!

Another White Wednesday here...the week goes by so fast. I've been so busy moving into my new space...Christmas shopping, wrapping, Christmas cards, and on top of that very sick kids and husband! We've had ear infections, hacking cough and the stomach flu. I can't wait until everyone is well again!
Some photos for White Wednesday around my house...and my very cute and smiley McKale. Good day everyone!

White Wednesday...moving into a 2nd store!

Well...I'm up tonight with my late night baby. I have him in such bad habits. We will both be tired tomorrow as I am moving into a 2nd antique store tomorrow. It's cold...very cold...and we have to go out and take my things this new store. My friend is opening a new place tomorrow called Recycled Elements (2212 West Madison Street) here in Sioux Falls, and she wanted me to be a part of it. So off I go to take my goods in. I will also be bringing some of the jewelry I make. It's a really exciting and bold thing for me to do, and I am hoping I can keep up. Sounds like I may work a few weekends a month at the store too!
I am leaving a picture of some chairs I found and are heading to the new place tomorrow. The other two pics are of my other shop space. Have a great week everyone!

Some Fun Projects and My Booth

This weekend has been super busy for me. I just felt like had to do things this weekend. Everything I saw I wanted to make. I went to a Christmas craft show this weekend at some one's house here in Sioux Falls. The house was so awesome. I wish I would of brought my camera.
I made this wreath for my house. I wanted something out of the box and unique. I started with a piece of garden fence. I had it cut down to just the scallop part. The sharp fence parts were bent over. It was formed into a circle like form. I had an old dust pan. I had my husband drill holes at the top, and then wired it to the form. I added faux moss, pines/greens, an artificial spray piece, a old picture of a boy and his skis, and a faux bird nest/bird. I also added the words Merry Christmas to the dust pan. I love how it turned out...really junky!
I made some altered snowmen out of old bottles this weekend too. I made a little family! I saw these at the craft show and fell in love with them.
I am also leaving you with some pictures of my booth. I hope you all have a good week. Lots of cleaning for me this week since I've been crafting all weekend. If you saw my kitchen you would die. Some day I might dare to show you what the house looks like most of the time! LOL

White Wednesday

A really quick post here. I'm making homemade soup today, for church tonight. We will be decorating for Christmas. Making this soup takes a good 1 1/2 hours to get going. It will be worth it though...so good. I'm making a double batch so we have some for home. It's my family's favorite.
One white photo of some busts and bling, bling in my bedroom. Enjoy and have a great week!
